Clifford Findeiss, M.D.
Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Findeiss has experience in physician practice management as both a practicing emergency physician and a healthcare executive. He was co-founder and CEO of EMSA, Inc. and InPhyNet Medical Management, Inc. For more than three decades, the companies provided turn-key hospital-based physician staffing services to hospitals, prisons, HMOs and the U.S. Department of Defense. Under Dr. Findeiss’s leadership, InPhyNet became a publically traded company in 1994 (NASDAQ: IMMI) and reached revenues of $450 million before being sold to MedPartners, Inc. Dr. Findeiss received his M.D. degree from Northwestern University and board certification from the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He served two years as a Lieutenant in the medical corps of the U.S. Navy. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Florida Emergency Medicine Foundation and is past President of the Florida College of Emergency Physicians.
Michael J. Zappa, M.D., FACEP
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Zappa, a residency trained, board certified emergency physician, has a strong track record in clinical program operations and practice management. Over his 20 year career, he owned a successful emergency physician group, founded and owns an urgent care center, served in all medical staff leadership positions and successfully managed emergency departments. His integrity, decisive thinking and ability to align the medical staff and administration have earned him the highest respect of his colleagues. Dr. Zappa is a frequent speaker at local and national conferences on clinical emergency medicine, as well as emergency department management and medico-legal issues. Dr. Zappa received his M.D. degree from S.U.N.Y. Downstate Medical Center. He served the Florida College of Emergency Physicians at all levels, including President, and is currently President of its not-for-profit arm, the Emergency Medicine Learning and Resource Center.
Marta Prado, R.N., ARNP
Chief Operating Officer
Ms. Prado has been involved in all aspects of patient care from bedside nursing, to nurse practitioner and EMS training director, to Chief Operating Officer. She was President of InPhyNet/EMSA’s government services and correctional divisions. Ms. Prado is the past President of the Emergency Nurses Association and a staunch advocate for patients, nurses and physicians. In addition to her extensive experience in running the back office for hospital-based physician practices, prison healthcare and managed care programs, she is well known for her expertise in Process Improvement, Team Building and overall management programs. Her leadership in healthcare is recognized at both the state and national level as evidenced by her service on the State of Florida Taxation and Budget Reform Commission, the Medicaid Reform Commission and the National Commission on Quality in Health Care. She has served on the Board of Trustees for Florida A & M University and is currently involved in leadership roles in numerous community service organizations.
